Outdoor provides a great opportunity to float the scenic Gila River.
We rent canoes or inflatable kayaks and all the gear you'll need for
a relaxing outdoor adventure. Float through the beautiful Gila Box.
Catch a glimpse of majestic
Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep as they
traverse the canyon cliffs or spy an elusive
Coues Deer
sneaking through the willows. Pull up on shore for a picnic lunch or
overnight campout and do a little exploring where Native American writings
and other wildlife are waiting to be discovered.
We offer a shuttle service
for seasoned kayakers and canoeists which can
work two ways.
1. Customer picks up a Gila Outdoor employee to ride with them to
the old Safford bridge near Clifton. Employee will drive car back
around to the Dry Canyon picnic area to park vehicle. Price $60.00
2. Customer can leave an extra set of keys at Gila Outdoor. Two
employees will drive to Old Safford bridge and shuttle vehicle
around to Dry Canyon picnic area. Price per vehicle $90.00

Rentals
17' old town canoe, includes two life vests and two paddles. $45.00
per day. If you do not have the means to transport a canoe Gila
Outdoor can drop it off and pick it up on the river for 150.00.
Rubber Kayaks 35.00 per day.
